Cristina Milea

Romanian costume and stage designer for theatre, dance and multimedia performances, and the creator of Sarlatan.ro
Main artistic research fields: Upcycled materials and multifunctional sculptures/costumes with focus combining science with art in order to create new fabrics and textures. Sarlatan.ro is an independent platform, where studies, debates, experiments and social comments are mixed in the form of pictorials, using conceptual costume-installations and junk fashion.
Graduated at Fine Arts and Design, U.N.A.rte Bucharest in 2008 , and in 2010 the Master in Art Installation (Recycling art )

Awards: In 2020 won the best scenography award “UNITER” for the theatre play “Dangerous liaisons”, directed by Cristi Juncu. In 2010 won the scenography award” Lowendal “, and the award for the best scenography for “ Piatra Neamț festival “I plead for you (th)”.
